Training Records Information System Team

The Training Records Information System (TRIS) team is part of the University Training Consortium Project based at Eastern Kentucky University. The team provides online access to training activities and information, support, and programming to assist in providing quality training for Cabinet for Health and Family Services, Department for Community Based Services (DCBS) Staff, Resource Parents, Contracting Officials, Early Care and Education Professionals, and Community Partners to better serve the families and children of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

The team has multiple responsibilities and is structured around four basic areas.

• 2. Foster/Adoptive Parents Training Records Information System
• 3. Early Care and Education Training Records Information System
• 4. Programming Services

Jana Godsey, Assistant Director of the UTC and supervisor of the TRIS team, recently commented on the benefits of the services provided by the TRIS team. “Since 1990, the TRIS Unit has provided quality data management and reporting services to its customers. It is important that the people who provide services to Kentucky’s families and children have the training that they need. TRIS provides a mechanism that enables them to track the training their professionals attend. We look forward to continuing our work as we provide this valuable service.”
