Description:
This training will increase a parent's knowledge and skills regarding the unique challenges and gifts involved in transracial placements. It, also, facilitates families making an informed decision regarding the appropriateness of the placement for their family. This preparation will prepare the family with navigating racial landmines that can cause future disruptions in placements. This training will also give you the opportunity to converse with people who have experienced transracial adoption from the adoptive parent-adoptee perspectives.
