    Welcome to MWMA-TRIS, the learning management system for Medicaid Waiver Management Application (MWMA) users.

    MWMA-TRIS is your one-stop destination for accessing MWMA training offerings.

    MWMA-TRIS makes it easy to manage your training needs for MWMA, the web-enabled case management system that provides support for Kentucky’s Medicaid Waiver services. MWMA-TRIS allows you to register for, and complete MWMA-related training offerings. If you have not completed your new account registration, please click here to access the MWMA training registration system. Once you have created your account, you may click the links at the top of the page to navigate the training portal and access training resources.



  • MWMA Training Materials

    The following training materials provide you with a comprehensive set of resources to support you in using MWMA. MWMA training materials available on this site are packaged according to job roles (e.g., Case Manager, Case Manager Supervisor, etc.). You can navigate to your role-specific set of training resources by clicking the appropriate tab above.

    • Web-based training (WBT) courses, also known as online courses, are self-paced virtual courses that cover a variety of topics such as system functions, demonstrations showing how system functions are performed, and practice exercises allowing the learner to perform actions in a simulated system environment. Click on the tab above that is closely related to your role to access online courses specific to your role.

    • The MWMA User Manual (User Guide: kynect Medicaid Waiver Management Application) is a comprehensive reference document that describes detailed system functionality specific to a section of MWMA (e.g., Plan of Care, Case Management, Application Intake, etc.).

    • Quick Reference Guides or job aids are concise documents that include steps, abbreviated explanations, and tips around specific areas of system functionality. Click on the tab above that is closely related to your role to access job aids specific to your role.
